It’s taken 4-5 years, but it’s here. I think I saw the first tiger scarf on the Vivienne Files several years ago. I loved it, but didn’t like the colors for me. I’ve watched and waited. Last year DH and I stopped at the new Hermes store at a local mall. The store wasn’t overloaded with customers, but aft 20 minutes we couldn’t get anyone to wait on us. Finally, we asked one of the SA’s for help and she said we were next. A young couple walked in after us and the SA went right to them. Mr. Maven complained to the apparent floor manager and we left despite his begging us not to go.
So much for that. A few weeks I decided to look online again. My tiger scarves weren’t there. I found them for sale on Ebay etc. at a much higher price. But then I looked at Hermes.com and found one I like, but while I considered it sold out in the color I liked.
Then I found another one--not tigers, but big cats--and ordered it. The package had quite a journey across the Rockies and the Sierra Nevada. It was delayed for several days in Reno. At last it arrived a couple of weeks ago, but as I’m not going anywhere important soon, I haven’t tried wearing it. Here it is, waiting for better times. It’s 20” square. And it cost less than half the bigger ones.
I bought my only other Hermes scarf decades ago ago after first visit to Paris and everyone was wearing them
##1-2-3 the scarves I liked, but not the colors for me. 36" squares.
## 4-5 the scarf online and the real thing.
##6-7-8 6 Hermes' suggestions for wearing it and the box. I read a blog a few days ago stating that Paris girls only wore them on their bags or on their hair.
