I'm so glad you kept it. Since I know we are a little bit in the same place I'll tell something I've been finding.
1) new clothes are really fun. Sounds dumb and obvious, but it is a light bulb for me. All those things I was worried about purging didn't make me nearly as happy as the new things I've gotten.
2) we need to worry less about purchases being perfect. How about just pretty good for now? And then wear and enjoy! Trying to get things perfect is why my closet and style was so unhappy...because they felt like they were perfect at one point, I held on to things for like 20 years. They definitely weren't perfect by that time so maybe it's not worth trying so hard. I'm not saying buy a lot of junk, but just buy things you like and wear them.
3) there was a little sort of log jam hurdle to get over...the first purchase was the hardest. I didn't like anything. When I finally bought something I liked mostly and wore it despite the doubts...well, success feeds success. It's getting easier to find things I like and make decisions.
So yay for the blue purse! It was my top pick when you first posted anyway!
