Q about the fit of SW OTK boots

When those boots went on sale again, I decided to give them a shot. For those who own them, how snug are they around the calf? Do they gape at the top at all? They seemed way too big on me, but I am not sure how OTK boots are supposed to fit - in the pictures there seems to be some room around the leg.

Hmm, mine do not gape. They are pretty sleek. A little loose but not noticeably so. I mean if you were to look at them, you would not see that they were loose. They just feel that way,

Thanks Maya, that's what I thought. Otherwise they are very nice. Story of my life - calf circumference seems to grow exponentially with bigger foot sizes.

I would recommend the 50/50 boots, but they are full Stuart Weitzman price...

I know there is no comparison in terms of quality, but I tried the Steve Madden Haviland boots which run narrower in the shaft and they looked good. They are about the same height. I didn't keep them but they are nice boots for the price.

Thanks! I'll check them out. Full price for Stuart Weitzman is not an option, I had plenty of internal struggle even with the sale price.

Oh, Marianne, I'm sorry these aren't working for you. Mine don't gape at the top either ~ in fact, they're a little too snug around the leg to wear with skinnies.
