• Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs. They are intricate & beautiful.
  • I have three people in the US to buy birthday presents for in April.
  • The love of my life was a refugee (Somali, from Ogaden), as were two sisters (Libyan) who helped me recover from the divorce
Putting those things together, I would love to find someplace selling the eggs (hollowed out, so they can be used year after year) with proceeds going to resettle refugees. Can you help me find such a seller?

So far I’ve come up with several reports of workshops on making your own, with proceeds going to refugees, and a bakery in Minnesota that is selling them & making donations, but I don’t know if they will ship them or even if they’re hollowed out. There are also lots of places, on Etsy and elsewhere, that are simply selling the pysanky. That’s not what I’m looking for. I want the eggs to be the equivalent of an NPR tote bag or coffee mug, that “free” gift you get when you make a donation. But instead of donating to NPR, I want to donate to someplace helping refugees get resettled,

I think searching US sites may be easier from inside the country. If you can find places where I could donate/place an order, please let me know! Orthodox Easter is coming soon, so I probably need to figure this out fast. Thanks in advance.
