I have most events in my rather I eventful life covered, from casual to cocktail. I don't own a long gown and have nothing for black tie; no problem b/c my DH & I have never attended or even been invited to anything that formal.

Anpther thing that was aha for me was that it was okay to have something on hand/on hold if it was really fab. But not good to buy so-so things just because they fit a description (long black skirt, I'm glad I sent you back). That lets me keep an eye out for the occasional HEWI but not doggedly pursue, " must complete the capsule:" The idea is that somehow I'll find a way to wear something really great, whereas with a meh item, I'll be more likely to buy something else if I have time before an event.
