Purple-y skinny jeans -- which ones are better?

One of these pairs I have owned since last year. They were inexpensive.

The other pair are NWT from 7FAM. Obviously premium-denim priced.

Which ones look better? Which ones would you keep?

Or are they different enough to keep both? The premium pair (and I'm not telling which is which) are made from far better fabric.

Thanks for helping me with my dilemma!

Second pair--seems a smidgen more of a clean, elegant line at the lower leg, if that makes sense.

Second pair wrinkles less on your leg and looks better to me. Maybe because they've had time to mold to you.

IMO, not different enough to keep both. I vote to keep the existing, inexpensive pair.

prefer second pair. mochi has it right. plus i prefer that color. i'm terrible at guessing price so i'll abstain.

I prefer the color of the first pair and the fit of the second. I'm guessing the second is premium - the fabric looks better in the photo.

As to the trousers, I agree with the others; fit looks better on #2. I am not sure if I have a preference re the colour. Really depends what's in your wardrobe.

I'll be curious to hear which is which and what you choose!

I think the second pair fit like premium denim but the first pair looks good too. I vote with Rae and say keep the pair you already own.

second pair fit like a dream. It's hard to see quality of material in photo. But both look great on you!

OK, #2 are way ahead.. They are the cheaper, older pair. Although #1 feel great, I think they don't fit as well in the legs (although they are perfect in the waist). Looks like I'll send them back. Thank you everyone for your fast, expert help!!

And to those of you who think I have long legs, I don't, not really. I am barely grazing 5'4" anymore. The shoes are flatt-ish (1.5 inch heel) but I think the toe design helps elongate the line.

I vote for #2, because I like the fit on you better and I also prefer the color in #2. It's muted, but richer in color to me, if that makes sense.

What can I say... love the purple ones too!! Both are great but do you need both?! As colored denim queen that is a question only you can answer. I bought my purple skinnies very cheap on kind of a lark last year and I've gotten alot of wear out of them.

Hmm I prefer the color of the first pair and I think the bunching is possibly because they are a bit long? Do you reach for the purple jeans more than your other colors? If the inexpensive pair is still holding up well I would vote keep those UNLESS shortening the expensive pair helps AND that you reach for purple more than any other colored jean.

I would have agreed with Rae, no matter what (keep cheaper exisiting pair). I was thrilled to find that the pair I deemed more sophistcated and expensive looking were the ones you already own! Yay! I don't think you need two, do you? It's not as if you are matching purples and you will probably wear them with neutrals.

I haven't read anyone else's answers yet - so I'm just basing this on what I see in the pics. I like the color of #1 better than #2. Its hard to tell from the pics which is the better quality of fabric. To me #1 looks as though they are too long and therefore they bunch in the legs. Have you considered hemming them up a little shorter, or do you think that they would still bunch? I just took another look at the 2 pics. My guess is that #1 is the premium denim - the fabric just looks more substantial. #2's fit like a dream though. I know, I'm not any help at all!

ETA: Wow! That's great that the less expensive ones are the ones that fit you the best. I wouldn't keep both of them, but rather return the premium ones and look for some denims in yet another "fun" color!

I love the fit of #2 more too, its awsome these were the ones you already own. Although the colour of the first pair is richer and more purple-y I think the colour of the second would go with more things (but maybe thats just more of the things I wear!)
