This past weekend, I met up with my mom and sister for a very fun girls' day out in the city. We enjoyed a delicious brunch, but the highlight of the day was a special show of The Sound of Music in 70mm film format. The theater, which has a very large capacity, was nearly full, and the mixed regular & chocolate-covered popcorn was flowing. It was magical to share the experience with my mom, who had watched the film as a kid during its original theatrical run (multiple times) and my sister, as we'd grown up watching it together. I was proud of my fellow Seattlites for joining us. What a great way to spend a rainy and thunderstorm-laden afternoon!
Here's what I wore that day - a casual outfit, for a change. Straight leg jeans, purple low slingback pumps, purple beaded disc necklace, gray and purple striped boatneck sweater with buttons on the shoulders, purple wire-wrapped cocktail ring.
