Purple Docs: Keep or Keep? :)

OK, there is no question I love these. But opinions are welcome!

My only question is whether to size down. Will they stretch even if they are not tight right now? I will mostly be wearing them with big socks. I'm wondering if I should hold on to these and order a size smaller to compare, then I can send back whichever one feels wrong...

Good grief Una! Were they thinking of you when they made purple Docs??? Seriously - these are freakin' hot on you!!!

Can you wear them inside the house for a few days with big socks to see how they feel? My Docs Marcies were a wee snug the first time I wore them and then by the end of the second time, they were perfect.

How fun!!! Maybe where you are keeping the larger size for thick woolie socks makes sense. They may be nice with socks poking out the top for the OTK look.

No question about keeping.

I think you're right about comparing the two sizes and sending the loser back. I had a pair once that I had hoped would stretch out length-wise and surely did not (bought a wholly incorrect, so I'd only keep the smaller one if they don't feel cramped at all. That said, I did size down in my own docs, so it may be a better fit.

About sizing down that is a tough one. Based on reviews, do they usually stretch? I would say, buy your true size. Bigger you can always compensate with an insole etc, whereas smaller is a deal breaker.
I think the best idea is to order the two sizes and compare side by side.

So perfectly Una! I like them with the distressed jeans. I could also see them with black skinnies, a slouchy v neck cropped or shorter top in a bright color. Also these will look great with skirts.

Love how they pick up the purple in the scarf. They look amazing! How about you keep the smaller ones to wear with tights and dresses and the larger with thick socks and pants? Kidding - find the best fit, but KEEP KEEP KEEP

These purple Docs were made for you and I hope you keep them, sized up or sized down. You want to be comfortable and to get the full picture, I would order the other size and play with them side-by-side, with the socks of your choice, and see what you like best. You have to be comfortable and we ALREADY KNOW they look great on you! So, you'll be keeping them.

I'd say, if you're unsure, order a size smaller. To my recollection, Docs stretch a little but not much. Or maybe really they just soften up more than stretch.

my TGIF and I have three more patients to go suggestion: either keep this or someone shrink my foot to the size that you can send it to me! I think its a prefecto size.

My question is --- what do they sound like? Do they make that satisfying clomping noise? These boots should sound tough as well as look cool which they do). All kidding aside, sometimes I can hear when a boot is slipping on my heels -- the sound is oddly hollow.

They are crazy fierce! The color is fabulous. I would try a smaller size just to be sure. Wish I could wear Docs - my fussy feet won't cooperate.

Okay, I ordered the last pair of size 5s off 6pm... they got here really quickly last time, so here's hoping because I am ITCHING to wear them - it took all I had to change out of them this morning! Can you tell I'm Team Wear? Thanks for all the Doc love.
