Amy, the purple color is simply the best, a nice variation from black, and yet still striking with dark or black jeans and leggings. I can see why you nearly knocked down the UPS man and I hope you keep them! They look so good on you. Can't recall if you sized up or down. I think you said you're a 7-1/2 and sized down and bought a US 7 or UK5, right? Keep breaking them in around the house and try one of the insoles/liners that have been mentioned here and hopefully we'll be seeing them often in your WIW, Ms. Newly-Crowned UWP!

I really love those Doc's on you! Please tell me how many eyelets and what the color is called on the website, and if you had to size down. I think you have just made me want a pair of Doc boots.

Thanks, you enablers, you. I wore the Docs to my knitting club last night and they were a big hit.

San, they're 20-eyelet docs. I usually wear a 7.5, but since Docs only come in whole sizes, I went down to the equivalent of a 7. That left me with about 1/2" of space between my toes and the end of the shoes, which I understand is what you want for comfort.

They're pretty stiff right now, but experts tell me they'll become really nice after a breaking-in period.
