Yay! But personally, I'd ditch the ribbon laces. I think these are one of those things that go with everything because they are just so fun.

I vote yay for the purple ones because they look such fun. I'm not entirely sure how versatile they'll be, though. Have you been through your wardrobe with them in mind? How versatile do they have to be?

Polly I have to go up half a size in docs (I'm a 6.5 and the 6 is too small so have to get the 7) due to them being a bit big it meant that the perforated parts didn't lay right and looked rather strange :-(. I love purple and wear it pretty much as a neutral though am wondering if they may cut off my leg when worn with black leggings? x

Well, I'm not sure, but only because I still am unsure about them in general. They still remind me too much of high school so I didn't vote. But the purple color and laces are nice. And they sure have some cute heeled sandals too on that site!

Cute! The ribbon laces are cute too but you wouldn't have to use them all the time - they're laces, you can swap them out for different colours or styles whenever you wanted.

Yay! And I LOVE the ribbon laces. I don't see why ribbon laces aren't versatile... they are black so they go with everything and they keep your shoes tied just fine. I'd wear them with everything. =)

Too bad about the white ones... I have the same problem with Docs - my narrow flat feet and skinny ankles are always swimming in them even when the length is right.

I think the ribbons are cute. I like how it contrasts with the usual DM aesthetic. I don't think dark purple makes much contrast with black leggings.

I love them and voted Yay. Maybe ribbon laces for certain looks and plain for others? I had a pair of these in Purple Velvet that someone gave me and I was never brave enough to wear them enough.

These are so 'Louise,' I can't stand it. Keep the ribbon laces! They set them apart and provide a sweet contrast to the tough boots (well, okay, the purple color helps there, too).

I mean, duh, they're purple...like I'm gonna say nay to that???

I want these too! I think you can't go wrong with Doc Martens and I love the purple color. You will wear these for years to come. The ribbon laces are interesting. I'd be willing to experiment with them.
