Puffy sandals?ETA Find - YouLookFab Forum

The color of these made them jump off the Zappos screen and into my shopping cart. They are super super comfortable, and I adore the color (did I mention the color? Haha!), but to fit my foot I have to secure the Velcro closing a bit tighter than the shoe was designed for. Does it look like my feet are about to take flight? I kind of love them anyway but wanted to get opinions.

Obviously they are super casual. But beware they are not styled. I was cooling down from a walk (too hot to run) when these arrived so I just threw them on with my workout gear.

I’m envisioning them with casual summer outfits — black COS dress, black jumpsuit, Ripskirt and tees, etc. I know I said I was done with summer shoe shopping but I was willing to make an exception for teal, which is really hard to find in footwear that I like.

Obviously the colour is just perfect for you. Not sure about the shape though..? They look like really fancy pool slides. With that said, I wore, and loved, my "fancy japanese toilet shoes" all through last summer.

Oh, I like these a lot! They look great on your feet, super cool. If you wouldn’t mention the closing, I would not even notice the extra bit there. It looks like a design detail in the pictures. I vote keep!

Thanks, Katerina and Rachy! I’m inclined to keep them. I had to have my cobbler add some extra closure and cut off some extra strap on my Arche sandals because there was too much material for my low-volume feet. I don’t think these look too weird, once I adjusted them a little.

I find slides work well for my casual life, and they can be incredibly comfortable as long as they are not too roomy across the foot, which many are. Some are borderline and I tolerate them until they inevitably stretch to the point where they are too loose — that usually takes a couple of seasons. But these being adjustable is a bonus.

Angie, we cross posted! I remember you mentioning puffy sandals, and I had noted a few that appealed to me (there’s a copper pair I saved somewhere online, can’t remember where).

The length seems fine to me — just enough, and nothing is hanging over anywhere. Toes seem contained and heels are on the soles. I think I see what you are talking about and it may just be a result of trying to lean over and photograph my own feet. I’m afraid sizing up will make them too roomy in the width.

I don't think you can go wrong here Janet. As you say glam pool slides are perfect!! I love a couple of pairs of easy slide on sandals for summer that I don't have to be precious about but that I can do a bit of walking in. For wearing to homes where I take off my shoes, for wearing on the beach, to the pool, or just for casual errands. Fun glam and practical!!

Lovely iridescent shade - teal footwear is definitely a HEWI!

The 'wings' don't look to be too much, since they aren't sticking out *too* far from the foot. Even with my own snake trim sandal photos there is a little strap hanging off, but no one seemed to have picked up on it - we all have differently shaped feet (even within the same size) so it's normal, don't worry. That's what adjustable straps are for, after all

Puffy and comfy is great! 2 yrs ago I have had a white sole and silver irridescent very simmilar design pool slides which I wore a lot on my beach vacation(not only at the beach!). This year I bought a taupeish tan quilted look pair to wear in the city but will have to broke them in first as they are made of a much thougher material. I love the look and color of yours, too.
