I decided Santa did not need to bring me a puffer for Christmas, but that I'd keep looking and consider it afterward, especially if still on sale or more so.

Am returning the Guess poly parka --decided against color, fill, and styling issues.
Really like the EB Lodge parka which i got to try on locally, and the light gray is closer to what I want color though maybe should be darker--I'm torn.
Love the top and bottom zip and it seems like very good quality. I like the almost-knee length, on purpose, as I have shorter jackets. Do NOT like fur-trimmed hoods, but it's removable. So many parkas have either the fur trim or a non-removable hood.

Then online I think the Sun Valley style looks very trim, with the angled baffles, and the taupey color would be my choice of the 3, but it's not in my gray-silver direction.

Don't laugh, since I live in mid-South, but I run very cold and after the polar vortex I thought I could use a warmer sporty coat to get me outdoors walking more, to just toss on without having to layer up so much, and to wear to work on our colder days. Lodge parka is rated 0-20 and I figured factor me in at running 10- degrees more chilly (meaning, when weather in 30's I'm really cold!) we mostly get 30's and some 'teens--but ha, so far this winter has not yet seen any really cold weather.

Do you think the EB parka is super overkill and I'll overheat in it, and should look at lighter weight fills? Also wonder if I would like a slightly darker gray, which might look less puffer-y than the lighter color, but it's hard to shop for these in my area--would have to order a lot online. i can't decide if I prefer the '"statement" the light gray makes vs. a more pewter is more for my coloring or looks more sleek, or what, since so far I haven't found this perfect color--see the Zella, which may also be lighter weight.

Any comments from the more winter-wise fabbers appreciated.

And Happy Holidays!
