After seeing lots of pointy toe pumps in fashion stylings, and in particular with those impossible to avoid cropped pants, I decided I needed a pair. Problem is I have bunions on both feet and wear a size 9.5. I also refuse to wear shoes that pinch or bind, or otherwise hurt my feet. I also expect my shoes to fit without needing adjustments. Stretching, and other techniques are used if after the purchase and with wear, a problem develops.
I tried on all the shoes featured below. The Rockports, Calvin Klein's, and Cole Hans were tight, and pinched right away. There was no way I could wear those shoes but the Ecco's fit like Cinderella's glass slipper. Walking around the store, and on the hard floor in the mall, I kept expecting something to go wrong...but nothing did. The inside of the shoe is reasonably cushy, and the bottom of the shoe has a non-slip surface.
They are coming home with me.
