This will likely be a "duh" for many of you who keep up with your closets.

I have long prided myself an excellent closet editor, although this weekend I realized I never really pare down my shoes, with the exception of when a pair obviously wears out or I am just obviously done with. This is because I like to think of the shoe collection as a lifetime collection that I have built over decades, and I like to trot out an old pair every now and then.

Well, this weekend I was rearranging my closet and tried to decide whether I should keep a pair of shoes I haven't worn in years. In thinking about it, I slipped into them. Lo and behold, I couldn't even get my foot in there! This led to trying on several other pairs from that era, and none of them fit! Easiest clean-out ever.
