Mini rant - may want to avert your eyes....So it's been raining all day here, and my local mall with Banana Republic is under construction, meaning one parks a long way from one's destination, and walks in the rain. But I wanted to try the Sloanes. Outside the store is the 40% off sign. I found the Sloanes and took 3 pair into the dressing room (and only that), with the SA talking happily about the 40% off sale. I find the size that fit the best. They were nice, and could work with my wardrobe. Not life changing, but nice. I then stood in line to pay for them, only to find that they were NOT included in the sale. (They had been designated "BR picks", whatever that means.) So I left them. I could have come home and ordered them online for the 40% reduction, but I'm just tired of these retail games. I don't think any of us like to be taken advantage of, and that's what this is. I'm done with Banana Republic. There are lots of ethical places I can spend my money that will give me some modicum of satisfaction.
