FYI - for those with fit issues who like traditional English riding boots, Ariat makes tall semi custom boots. Calf width, size, shaft height can all be specified. Also you get the Ariat ABS footbed which is one of the only inserts I am comfortable without an orthotic. I have the Ariat Challenge Contour Field Zip. Elegant, made for hard wear, comfortable, trend proof. Excellent tutorial on how to fit. Take the numbers seriously. Riding boots are supposed to "drop" in the ankle.
