Barbara Diane - thank you. I am looking forward to it's arrival!
Lisa - IKR? I initially bought this is a size 6. It was not as fitted Arella top, it was skimming but the white arrived first and it made me feel "fat" So I ordered the black in a size 8, which is my usual designer size for Theory, Smythe and VB jackets. I the black fits fine in the shoulders, as did the size 6 btw, but the body was more fluid. So I ordered the white in the Luna in the 8. Hoping I like the fit better. Saks did not have the Luna in the black, the Arella looks very close without the writing, which is one of the things I found very witty but still subtle. But I love the sleeves and hem, they are just pretty tops.
KKards - I regret to inform you that white has a very tiny but designated place in my wardrobe! I am never without a tuxedo blouse, ever. I'm looking for an upgrade of a JCrew blouse, its been years on the hunt but I am hoping. On lace, you need to ask Angie. But I have been seeing lushly romantic blouses, lace, eyelet, embroidery, ruffles at all price points. I had been on the hunt for a very dressy white blouse before Brooklyn found her. Alas I have yet to find mine. I personally consider lace a classic, it always has a small but special place in my wardrobe. But I have been seeing a lot, lot more of it.
Roxanna - I regret to inform you that the initial retail price was $425. So yes, the $300 can is possible. I get it on sale at saks, extra %10 and then more from ebates to purchase the first. They was even less, ebates again and free shipping. But prices are insane!! I bought the VB scuba jacket, full price and now the price is $25 higher!! But I'm at the stage where it's buy better, buy less, and I keep my clothing an inordinately long time. So, although I bought 2 different pairs of the scuba pants, I have worn that outfit approximately 9 times as a suit and I wear the pants and jacket separately. But I knew I would get value and reduce cpw rapidly. One perfect things works better, at least for me, as an imperfect item where I never stop trying to upgrade. Beautiful things are only great, when they get the wear, use, love and utility that they deserve. So yup, hanging head in shame, I've gone down the dark side, but it does work for me.
