PSA Pencil Skirt + K/R Jacket

Ellen Tracy ponte pencil skirt from Costco for $12.99!!! It is polyester, rayon, and spandex. Pictured in charcoal and I also got it in black. Tan available too. True knee length. Back vent.

While I was there I picked up a Levi jean jacket as I'd been looking for one (ordered Angie's Paige and the fit was *strange*!) I'm not sure about it, what do you think?

This is off topic, but is that a borzoi in your pictures? We have had two, and they are the most wonderful, sweet dogs! Yours is beautiful.

Skirt looks good, but I think the jacket is too long in the body and sleeves.

I have that skirt - it's a nice one for the price for sure. I think the arms on jacket are too long to wear that way. Will you be rolling or pushing up?

I like the skirt a lot and wouldn't size down. Like the others, I have my reservations about the fit of the denim jacket.

The skirt and top are fab -- the jacket seems close, but not quite. Perhaps a petite? Gorgeous Dog!

Wow, I really appreciate all the feedback! Anna, Christieanne, Manidipa--unfortunately sleeves are always too long on me. If I keep this jacket I might try folding the cuff back once and rebuttoning, French cuff style--that works sometimes on this type of sleeve.

Amy and Beth Ann--I think you as well as the other ladies are confirming what I feared, that this jacket isn't optimally flattering.

By sizing down I meant that I had to size down to get a good fit. Skirt runs super large.

what the others say - skirt i great, but jacket sleeves are too long. i know all about long sleeves too. annoying, isn't it? my solution is to go to a tailor. they can really do alteration magic! could that be an option for you?

Thanks Rute! Harmonica, in the past I've utilized a tailor for this problem, and the sleeves ended up too short. I honestly believe it was my fault for not communicating well/understanding what a good length is. Do you have any guidelines for settling on the right sleeve length?
