Although I am battling a cold, I had to venture out this afternoon to mail some packages, so I stopped at the JCrew outlet on my way home to see about those pinstripe trousers. Short story: they fit great, lightweight, $30 on clearance. Will post in a WIW someday soon.

I also picked up a couple of pairs of flats. They are not leather, which is good if you're vegan, bad if you're picky I guess. I tend to be very hard on flats, so I am not picky if they feel and look good and are not expensive. I really want one good season out of flats. A case in point: my SE blue slip on sneakers, which served me well last summer, were not leather, were worn to bits, and were thrown out a week ago. I consider them a great purchase.

So, too, these new flats seem to fit the bill: great looking, comfy, not expensive. They were 30% off in the store and had a great pointy toe and a very French vibe. I did not buy the perforated sneakers but may go back for them.

Oh, by the way, I was inspired to get the flats because I am headed to Phoenix and Orange County next week for work. So EXCITED to be leaving the 3 feet of snow behind, especially as more is coming!
