Go ahead and laugh, but I find basic camisoles a HEWI.
They ride up, or they're too tight in the chest or too loose below the chest, or whatever ... and most of them have shelf bras. I don't mind shelf bras in theory since they smooth out bra lines, but most of them hit me mid-boob, and ... no. Just no.
White House Black Market has camisoles with a shelf bra that is both generous enough and stretchy enough to hit in the right spot. They're a smidge expensive, but they work!
