Project Runway- Who is Looking Forward to the Finale?!?

I'm really excited to see the collections of all four designers, especially since we got a mini preview in their 3 pieces. I've loved Anya all the way through, but honestly- I think that Viktor is going to win.
Anyone else watching?

Me me me! I like Anya's clothes, but I am skeptical that she can sew. I like Viktor as well. I could be happy with either winning. I am looking forward to their collections.

Me! And I'm completely with you Khris....I'm on Anya's team all the way, but I think the judges are in love with Viktor's work.

Funny aside: DH and I were shopping (for him) at a Brooks Bros. outlet over Columbus Day weekend, and the salesclerk and I were chatting about PR while my husband tried on clothes. Salesclerk's opinion was exactly the same as ours: he loved Anya, didn't care for Viktor but thought he was probably going to win.

Do you think their judging has been a little unfair this season? It seems that sometimes they judge solely on that challenge's performance, and sometimes they judge by taking into account the whole history of the designer's work. They seem really fickle this season...willing to throw out a good designer who has one misstep...whereas before they always seemed to consider the designer's overall performance.

My impression is that the judges generally focus on the performance for each challenge unless (a) there is a close tie; or (b) they're trying to figure out who they want to see more from for fashion week.

Anya impresses me, but I also have been wowed by Victor's performance. I sew most of my own clothes, so I'm particularly impressed with his construction skills.

I do think the judging has been a little all over the place, but then fashion is a fickle lady. Did anyone watch the After the Runway show? They brought back Anthony- I wanted to see more of him and I wonder what he will be doing.

I'm still mad at the judges for getting rid of Anthony instead of Josh. Josh's work does very little for me, and I thought that majorette-looking outfit of his in the last challenge to get to the final four was awful.

I like Anya and Kim but was definitely underwhelmed by each of their collections so far. I think Anya really choked, which is a shame because I think she's quite talented. Viktor's collection so far seems to be the winner, but I've been surprised before!

I agree with just about everyone: I think Anya is fab--loved those modern, edgy black dresses she did near the end of the competition--but I think she totally choked. I was surprised they let her through. I am betting that Viktor will win. His tailoring and taste are pretty solid, IMHO. I like Kimberly a lot, and of course Josh drives me bonkers (his personality and his aesthetic--how about that Fredericks of Hollywood dress-in-the-front-horrible-catsuit-in-the-back look?).

I don't know what he was thinking with that thing. It looked like something a drag queen would wear. If he makes it into a little dress all the way around it would be fab.

Yup, that dress in the front, catsuit thing was awful and I swear it looked like it had runs in the fabric in the back. And was it tricot?! It looked like a cheap Halloween costume.

I really like Anya, but when Tim Gunn showed up in Trinidad with a camera crew and she had nothing to show him, I could not believe it! What was she thinking?

Kim's collection confused me. It felt kind of 80's and cheap so I was surprised when they didn't rip it apart and didn't give her the ax.

I'm predicting Viktor will win, but you never know. It's never as clear cut as it seems at the end.

And can anyone remember, did it used to be two contenders at the end way back when? It seems like it was, and I remember thinking it was a cop out to send three one season. Now it's four? Come on.

It's always been three, I believe--the first season (still my fave) was Jay, Kara Saun, and Wendy as the finalists. Jay FTW!

Yes, I think they might have let four go last year, though the last few seasons have kind of blurred together in my mind... Tons of them actually show at fashion week, since it's in September when the show is in the early stages in terms of airing, and they don't want to just show the three-four finalists or everyone will know who made it into the final cut.

Okay, I just looked at the All Stars cast and I'm a bit disappointed: other than Austin Scarlet and Mondo, I don't see any stars really :).

I think it's a bit of a cop out to send four...it's a better dynamic with three finalists, IMO.

Regarding Josh, I'm pretty sure they're keeping him on primarily for the drama he provides. It is reality TV, after all. *sigh*
