Project Runway All-Stars Finale (SPOILERS!)

Anybody watch this? I felt like the whole season was really just an excuse to fix the injustice that happened to Mondo a couple of seasons back, and he was always going to win All-Stars. Which was fine with me. I especially loved the Rorschach dress and the red sleeves on a couple of the black-and-white items.

Although... Austin really grew on me and I LOVED his collection last night, especially the wedding gown. And the way they edited the judges' comments, I thought for a few minutes that he might steal the win.

Michael? Meh.

I feel exactly the same way you do about all of them!

I loved Mondo's Therapy theme, and I thought the Rorschach print was inspired.

Every time I see Austin, I can't help but think he would have made a lovely dancer. He cracks me up -- did you see the top hat outfit in the After the Runway show?

Michael -- yeah, he seems like a really nice guy and does safe, commercial work. No innovation that I can really see.

Oh, and I'm glad Kenley didn't make it to the final. Even though I thought she deserved the lighting challenge win, there is a need for only so many cute retro-inspired printed dresses in the world. She has always seemed rather one-note to me.

I missed Mondo's season somehow, but I know that a lot of people felt he should have won. I really enjoyed seeing the designers again- especially Austin. I think the final three were really the best. I actually liked Michael's line, but it was very commercial and not as high end. I LOVED Austin's wedding gown. I can't believe the judges said it didn't belong to the same collection- it's a wedding dress! If a 17th century vampire turned rock star got married to her Hasidic beau that is exactly what she would wear! LOL

I wish Austin won; I liked his dresses a lot more than Mondo's stuff - but I agree that Mondo's collection was more 'forward'

I think Mondo deserved to win based on his overall body of work and I loved his theme and the Rorshach dresses. He is so creative and I love his use of pattern mixing. I really love Austin Scarlett too and think it could have gone either way but I agree Mondo was more edgy. The pink pants were a little weird but the wedding dress was gorgeous. He should be like Vera Wang and create a line of evening/wedding dresses. Michael's collection wasn't that inspiring--too commercial. I wish Kenley had been in the top 3. I love her retro printed dresses and would totally wear her stuff--she's right up my style alley!
