Project alteration of the rise of jeans

I’ve mentioned that I’ve got my jeans altered- lowered the rise ( the mid rise slides on my straight body to the hip bones giving me a drop crotch ).
The two pairs are sale mid rise cropped slim bootcut jeans: first is snake print, second is velvet jeans from Lucky Brand. Both worn to work as a dressy spring/summer outfits.
For the casual looks I have 2 denim jackets as best option but they not excepted at work sadly.

The navy jacket is from Kut from the Kloth - got it on sale at Nordstrom.The printed one is from Nordy as well - junior department a few years ago.The first black jacket is from Joie ( soft fabrication ).

So far printed bottoms seems to be more challenging for me - because almost all my tops have some kind of print.

Nice! That’s a great alteration for you.

I’m switching from petite to regular pants & having them hemmed because although I’m 5’2” tall, I have a short waist & a long rise. Few petite pants fit me correctly, I sometimes get lucky & find a women’s size with a shorter inseam.

I wouldn't worry too much about the pattern. It's quiet, neutral, and almost like a false plain. I suspect most graphic tees will work with them with the right support act.

Good job - and well done knowing what works for you and your body. I love how you styled the snakeprint in the first too - works great with the solids, and the large graphic is a great way of pattern-mixing with the smaller print.

Wow really? How can a rise be altered? I hate all these high rises! But my fit challenges are completely opposite of yours, aside from the rise.

These all look fantastic on you. I particularly love the snake print!

I had my reservations about altering the rise but one of our seamstresses is very petite and have done such job before for herself as well. She did first navy blue velvet jeans and then two more ( one is casual camouflage pants - not for work). I’m happy that I can wear those pants - they were sitting in my closet for over a year.
The rise is tricky to lower- some of the features will be lost, pockets diminished. It was alright with me - the pockets were already too shallow to begin with .
I did get all of those in a bigger than usual size - so the waistband would fit hips and legs would be not tight ( plus some weight fluctuations ). They both fit more like pants than jeans ( slim cropped bootcut looking somewhat more straight).

The snake pants are fabulous on you and the alteration makes them look like they were made for you. Agree that they work with prints - I like the subtle pattern mix in #3.
