I have never been to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I did read through several of last year's posts, so I'm starting to get an idea of how it works but could use some clarification.

I am confused by "pre-sale" -- do you get to purchase then, or just look? Do you need to make an appt -- and if so, with whom? (we would want to shop in a couple of different departments)
How much of this can be done online?
