Dear YLF,

Please give me permission to purge things that I randomly bought in preparation for this summer that no longer work with my style. Also, can I purge winter things that I never once wore this season and never would?

Please tell me they will go on to find wonderful and better homes elsewhere?

They will be loved elsewhere, and I feel your pain re. items you thought would be perfect but may not now work.
Maybe just keep the new season stuff in holding, but definitely the unworn Winter things can go?

I can remember when I was young stay at home mom with 3 growing little ones and had NO money for my own clothing budget. I thrifted a lot back then. I was ECSTATIC when I found pieces that were new with the tags still on that fit my size and style. It made me feel great to wear them and I was thrilled to be able to look nice for a few dollars.

I still thrift occasionally now (for fun and memories I guess) , and I donate a LOT of nice stuff now too.

Donate your stuff. Someone else will be thrilled with it too and you'll reap the rewards of good fashion karma!

Oh, Kim, most of these things don't have their tags on them anymore otherwise I'd have returned it :p

They are all in pretty good shape, though!
