PPL high waist skinnies?

Loved the trend report! But it raised a PPL question for me. Can anyone speak to the perfect pant length for high waist skinnies?

I just bought my first pairs. I adore them because they fit and I hope they're still on trend because I'm excited to wear them this spring.

• I hear skinnies are taking a back seat. Can I still wear?

• What it the PPL for high waist skinnies? Angie, I've noticed you've been wearing some pants longer these days & am curious where skinny pant leg length is going before hacking. At their current length they puddle a tad around ankles (similar or maybe a bit more than on model below). I am wearing full length and rolled depending on shoes.

Thoughts?

According to Corporette, the perfect length for skinnies in a business environment would be at the ankle. I would tend toward thinking it would be the same for a casual environment.

And I definitely think you can wear them! Skinnies and slims are still the most widespread cuts everywhere I go.

I think that you can wear any trouser style at the moment as long as you feel comfy in it.I agree with Aurore on the length and if it’s casual and they are too long I would wear them rolled to a cuff effect.

Yes! I know I'm ridiculously late to the skinny party (it's taken me this long to find a pair I feel good in) but am still seeing them everywhere.

I think you can wear them full length, ankle length, or cropped. Ankle and cropped let you show off fun footwear and feel "cooler" (I mean temperature-wise).

Ha! Love this, Suz. Thanks for chiming in. I've been watching Queer Eye on Netflix this week and their resident fashion expert, Tan France, rocks the ankle look. Because of his influence it's probably my favorite length of the three.

I'm also VERY open to the full length look. Do you recall Angie saying it looks fresh to her eye right now? It appeals to me because no hemming. Though I agree, that makes it less about the shoes. (Creates some shoe-confusion for me.)

What Suz said about length. I like them best cropped.

High waisted skinnies are THE jeans I see youngsters wear on the street. VERY popular.

You may also be able to tuck them up or roll them to ankle length, depending upon how narrow they are at the bottom. You may also want to review how the proportions look with whatever you plan to wear on top and in your footwear. Some combos might look awkward with the pants at certain lengths.

I’m with Suz: you can wear them full length, ankle and cropped. I still wear skinnies in colder weather and I tend to leave mine full length because I like the unbroken leg line with my ankle boots. Cropped also looks great!

It’s pretty clear anything goes these days, length-wise. I agree with DonnaF...you should assess the length with the rest of the outfit and shoes, as well as when you plan to wear them (work, weekend, etc.).

I bought four of these in four different colors because in addition to being inexpensive, they are hands down the best fitting pants I've ever owned. (Seriously, I feel like I won the colored-jeans lottery.)

The two darker pairs (olive and brown) I'll leave long for fall/winter.

And I'll hem the two brighter ones (red and tan) above the ankle for spring/summer.

Thanks for the advice! While I do like duplicating, four of one item at one time is a record for me and I was worried I overdid it.
