I realized this spring that one of the wardrobe holes I have (yes, I know, by now I shouldn't have any holes between my many hills and mountains of clothes, but I do!) was a slim pair of black pants, spring weight. And I use the term "spring" loosely... I'm talking sub 10 degrees, so not yet suitable to bare ankles. I have yet to wear my ankle pants without boots. Booties, oxfords, that type of footwear.

I've actually had a black pant hole for a while... work suitable pants that can be worn with flats or 1" heels. My FFB ones died, and I replaced them with ones that need heels. So some of my most comfortable shoes (which I like to take to conferences where I'm doing a lot of walking to meetings) haven't been worn much.

So... to the point... I was thrilled to see the Sloan fit trousers this year. Full length!! Sloans fit me really well, so I waited for the next 40% off opportunity and ordered them.

Thoughts on their length? These are the footwear I want to wear them with. Do they need shortening? Wondering about a half inch or so. But when I folded it, it felt short. And how about tapering? I feel it's bordering on too much fabric around the ankle, but I don't feel confident in this area. So I come to you...

Thank you!
