Potential talbots order - what do you think of these jackets?

Ok, so now I'm going through a jacket obsession phase. In addition to Sarah's beautiful green jacket, I'm also looking at these:

Plaid jacket:

The only jacket I currently own is a black/white herringbone. Would a black plaid jacket be too similar? Also, is the wale of the corduroy jacket too large to look attractive? I don't want to order too much since Talbots doesn't do free shipping.

Sigh. I love that plaid jacket. Go for it!

I'm not as sold on the corduroy, but that's only because I'm not so into corduroy jackets. Did you consider the velveteen?

FYI, the "Grace" fit is more boxy (the white one I'm returning is the Grace fit), while the green tweed and the velveteen are the "Kate" fit, which is more fitted.

I think that black plaid sounds very different from a b/w herringbone. I don't know what your line of work is, but I find jackets to be SO useful. And the prices with these sales are incredible for well made, wool, lined jackets. If you order from a store, you get free shipping. And of course returns to the store are free. Just sayin'...

Thank you so much Sarah! I skipped the corduroy jacket because I'm already concerned Talbot's fit might be boxy on me.

I ordered the following to try out:

Plaid jacket
Green shetland jacket
Velveteen jacket in teal and black
Bunch of charmeuse tanks
Long sleeved sweater
