I am going to an uber-casual roof top party in couple of hours to watch the fireworks. My friend is very lucky to live in a building close to the Washington Monument with a perfect view. It is potluck style, super casual. It is also very hot and humid here ( what else is new?).
I am toying with the idea of wearing the outfit below, and I would like to look playful, not silly and costume-y. What do you think? Are the shoes too much? I can always substitute them with flat metallic sandals if so. My toes will be treated to some metallic blue polish.
I am also baking white chocolate almond brownies with raspberries and blueberries - very appropriate for the 4th of July
