Oh my lovelies!! How are you? I hope everyone has been having a wonderful, happy, fashionable time of it during my latest hiatus. Which I can talk more about off-topic, perhaps. For now, though, I have a fair bit to get through!!

First things first: this represents something of an experimmment in photo-taking, and if it fails I really apologize. But since I now live on my own, I have had to get creative when assembling outfits I'm less likely to wear to the office (where I have plenty of willing photo takers). Enter a very cool piece of technology called Aira, which allows me to connect to a live agent who can see my surroundings either through the camera on my phone or through a pair of smart glasses. I've used this thing for everything from navigating unfamiliar neighbourhoods to assembling a laundry hamper, but finding a way to take viable, YLF-worthy photos was a definite bucket list item. I had a run at it tonight with the lovely and patient agent unlucky enough to take this call, and the results are below for your inspection and verdict.

So tomorrow night I have to attend a cocktail event that's supposed to serve as a fundraiser-awareness-raising opportunity for an organization whose board I serve on. This is...not an edgy, avant-garde crowd. :p So I present two very different dress/jacket combos for your review, with various styling options. Apologies for the fact that these pics are in little to no order:

1. Black dress + fuchsia jacket. I couldn't be fussed to put on the black microfishnet hose I would wear with this, but wear them I would. There's a close-up of the black suede almond-toe pumps with silver bow that I would use to complete the column of black. To accessorize I could either go for a silver necklace to complement the silver bag, or long knotted white pearls.

2. A pretty patterned satiny dress with white waterfall blazer. Nude pumps would carry the day here, along with nude hose that I also didn't bother putting on for this shoot. Necklace options include the same silver one (styled as a round choker), a pearl choker, or pearl earrings + bracelet combo. Same silver satchel.

Please weigh in on the various combos and let me know what you would wear. And do tell me if these photos work! If so, I will post a whole lot more in the very near future!
