I have five, though the oldest (dark green) I can't find a picture of. The newest is the white one. I only have pictures of me in the three more recent ones.
They are in order of length. The navy Laundry and red Eddie Bauer are both packable, the red incredibly so.
Other than that, these all have different uses and very different looks.
The navy and silver looks best over jeans, and this little tunic dress. It looks kind of bulgy over my dresses. It's probably the least warm of my puffers, but is very easy to carry along. Lots of our fall/winter days go through a 30-degree temperature swing from dawn to late afternoon, so this jacket is really handy to either wear or schlep around. It has a hood, but it doesn't stay up.
The red EB is a last year acquisition. It is the lightest of all my puffers, including the short one, but quite warm. It's a bit slim and doesn't work with my fuller skirts, but other than that it gets good wear in the chill. (It's not sufficient for a very cold day with wind.) The hood is definitely for function and looks pretty silly on, so I usually wear a beret or ear muffs. It's also my choice for taking camping and sleeping in when it's cold.
The black EB I've had about 3 years. It's way too big now, but at the time was the best choice for fitting a very-pear-shape; it's also very lightweight and does not "puff" much, so the oversized top and shoulder weren't super noticeable. It's the longest and possibly the warmest I have, though again the hood is a bit annoying.
The olive green one not shown is at least 5 years old, from St John's Bay. It's low hip length and has an awesome hood trimmed with reddish faux fur. It's *very* slim on the hip and I could not wear it when I gained weight. Now it fits again, but (a) it hasn't been cold enough to wear yet and (b) olive green isn't my first choice for outerwear any longer. It's a heavier coat with mixed down and feathers, and quite warm. I probably wouldn't mind selling it, though I kind of also want to hang onto it for those infrequent-but-happens days of doing yardwork or home repair when it's cold and windy.
And then the white one, also by Laundry. It's probably similar to the green in many ways, except longer with a better cut, and much preferred color. I love this coat! It even works over full skirts, which is nothing short of a miracle.
