Pil, I just love #5!! But also a huge fan of 9, 13, 14, and of course the last pic!

Emily, your style quotient went through the roof when you cut your bangs. Brilliant change! These are all fab but I especially love 8.

Peri, you can too play. You have given us enough to go on -- and what about those great outfits with your new sweaters and Cons?

Hi! I am bookmarking this thread, I can't wait to savor everyone's wonderful outfits! Here is my year-end outfit review:
http://goldenpig.lookfab.com/p.....end-review
I had a really hard time culling down my outfits, so you can take a peek at the thread for the full review and explanation of where I've been and where I'm going.

Here are my best of the best for a teaser, and a few phrases that describe my year:

Adapting my pre-pregnancy wardrobe

Conquering 4th trimester

Hypermatchy and Matchy matchy with mini-me
ALGO vs. Minimalism
Luxe and Polished Ladylike Edgy

Cheers and Happy New Year to Angie and Greg and everyone at YLF! Can't wait to see what's in store for all of you in 2014!

Yay!  My favorite post of the year.  I've been absent these last couple of months, but I just had to sign in and take a peek at everyone's lovely outfits.  So much fabness and inspiration here!  Angie, I love all your looks, but especially outfit #1.  Such casual elegance.

My fashion year was a bit choppy as my color analysis in late August threw me an unexpected fashion curveball.....still trying to tweak my wardrobe to reflect this. I'm very much a dress/frock girl, and feel very fortunate that DH's work offers many dress-up occasions. (see 4, 6, 12)

Here are some of my 2013 favs. Plan to circle back later and make some comments on everyone's pics! Happy new year to all!

This is fun. I love seeing everyone's pictures. I am bookmarking this for sure.

My favorite for me this year is #4.

Wow - such a wonderful and fun post to see! Everyone looks so FAB in their favorite outfits. It's a busy time of the year for me so I can't really spend much time here, but I just wanted to say how wonderful you all look.

Happy New Year to you all!

GOOD GRIEF. So much killer fabness on one thread is making me dizzy. Wow.

I am caught up this morning but will come back to comment and on each of your selections in a little while. Fun, Fun, Fun. xo

Well, I'm new here and haven't posted many photos yet. Here are two that I think are OK.

Wow - so many wonderful looks! It's going to take me a while to look through them all, let alone comment!

Here's a few of my favorites. I actually had a hard time choosing favorites - what a great feeling, to have a lot of outfits that I liked through the year! There's easily a dozen more that could be on this list....

Awesome thread! I have loved reading everyone's posts and and looking at the pics.... so enlightening and inspiring. I feel like I need to come back and read again.

It is pretty much a full year since I joined YLF and I feel like I have grown a lot, style wise. I feel like I have a way to go, but I look at clothes differently now. I approach shopping and my wardrobe differently.

Here are some of my favourites for the year. Thanks for looking! x

Angie, I love 3, 4, 8, 10... oh who can choose.

Not in order and maybe not even finding all my faves, here are some:

This thread makes me realize I need a better setup for taking photos! Maybe that's next year's goal.

I haven't been here long but here are a few of my favorites that feel the most like me.

This is always so much fun. I am also joining the VC stripe tube club. It's hard to weed out the emotion of favorite items from favorite outfits, but I tried. Posted in a batch I was basically true to my navy, white, red, gold/khaki/camel palette and I did wear a ton of white bottoms (1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 16) and crazy prints (2, 7, 9, 13, 15)! Blazers almost everyday (I'll spare you most) and of course my beloved sparklies.
These are in no particular order

I’m back to comment on your outfits. SO FUN. Thanks for all the kind words on my own outfits, btw.

Suz, you are incredible. You have graciously taken the time to come back and comment on everyone’s outfit contribution. You are as stylish on the inside as it gets. Thank you for being so very thoughtful, engaged, giving and generous. I am in awe of you. As far as your outfits go, I’m going with #1, #2, #5, #6 and #7 as my faves. But #6 is top of the list because - how can it not be. You shone more brightly than ever when you won that derserving award. xo

Diana, I have to go with your wedding dress and J as tops. But #3, #4 and #8 come in as a close second. Such creative and arty verve with a big smile.

Karie, #3 and #14 are my faves. Special hugs to Cosmo who went canoeing with you like a pro. I love that pic best of all.

Shevia, always a treat to see your warm and wonderful self. I’m going with #1, #2, #3 and #4 as my faves. Loving the sporty and elegant vibe that sweeps through your looks.

RunCarla, you knew I was going to choose #8 as my fave. Dazzlng and dynamite.

Anna, I’m going with #13 and #14 as my faves for the year. Simply Dazzling. I’m going with #10 next. Love the forest green and its ultra trendiness. And #6 after that. Love that frock.

ParkMamaChic, #3 for sure. Thrown together perfection.

Sveta, I’m going with #1 and #12. So elegant, statuesque and regal. But #4, #5 and #11 are super fun, and I love the playful side of your style too. Well done Mr. Sveta for choosing that stunning tunic.

Carter, hands down #4 is my fave. Gorgeously glam in a subtle way.

TraceyLiz, I’m going with #16 because I love the graphic stripe on that scarf. Burgundy and blue are fab on you.

Debra Tub Balancer, you are hilarious. I’m going with #2, #3 and #11 because they are fashionably chic in a simple and strong way. Love to you and Kindrex.

Jewel, hands down #3 because it’s fun to see Chanel and Pearls with Converse. Great juxtaposition.

Sharon, hands down #2, you Trendy Fashionista.

Debs, killer to see you in white for a change.

Denise. OF COURSE I vote #4 as tops just like you do because of your beautiful girls gracing their wonderful Mama. Pulls at my heart strings. I’m going with #5 and #11 next because of that extra naughty glint in your eye that is a big part of your style.

Astrid, hands down #1 because we never see you in light colours. Soooo pretty.

KKards, I’m going with #3. You had me at the fabness of those white jeans.

Runs with Dolphins, I have to go with #1 because pink is your favourite colour. I bat for Team Pink too.

Ramya, hands down #1. The most modern look of all. Hubs did a great job of finding those jeans.

Diane G, hands down #3 because you wear those sour corals and taupes to perfection with white and blue. So pretty and polished.

Ceit, I have to go with #3, #4 and #11 because they are out of your comfort zone. Sensationally mastered and fast too. I have to go with #8 next because you look sleek, elegant and knightly all at once.

Viva, love that outfit. Pink, taupe and white are magical.

Pil, hands down #6. So Euro Chic. #14 is next on the list.

Emily, I’m going with #8. Trendy, Casual and Comfy.

Natalie, I have to go with #5. Good grief, you literally just gave birth and got it together to look SO stylish. Unbelievable. #7 is adorable and #16 is a new look that deserves a special shout out.

Nancylee, hands down #8. Gorgeously simple and interesting. #9 is next, Queen Kimono.

Debbie, I love you best in #4 too. Modern and so fun. Red is your colour. Divine with the purple bag.

Catnip, I’m going with #2. Richly East Coast Casual.

Amy, I’m going with #4 as tops. So perfectly slouchy I can’t stand it. Top, top, top for the Slouch Awards. #6 is next. Great palette.

Hill, hands down #7. You look fabulous in light neutrals. Next is #2. Gorgeous silhouettes with fun flats.

Unfrumped, hands down #3. Easy Modern Elegance.

Greyscale, I’m going with #2 because I love the light noses on the sneaks. Fresh and breaks up the black. #4 is next. You are gorgeous in a skirt.

Jeanne, hands down #9. That combination launched me into orbit. I’m going with #17 next because you rock earth tones, and #12 after that because it’s deliciously Preppy.

PHEW. I made it. Need to rest my arms now.

This is one of my favourite threads It is wonderful to see the beauty & variety of the women (& men) on this forum - very special indeed.

I'm going to come back to this so I can digest it all before I comment on all the wonderful outfits. For our winter I wanted to refine my wardrobe & concentrate on a couple of uniforms - short over long & a more fluid look. These are examples of my trans-seasonal favourites. I feel very happy with this part of my wardrobe.

My summer wardrobe is on my phone at the moment; but I now have an ipad so WIWs should be easier We've also had a cold (for us) start to summer so I haven't test driven it all yet.

I feel bad giving Angie something else to comment on after all that, but here goes!

#1-7 are pre-YLF favorites, in no particular order. In my mind, I thought I had many more outfits I really loved but, going back and looking, a lot didn't seem all that impressive. Of these, I think #2 may be my absolute most favorite. It was what I wore to a fancy tea in the spring for a friend who was getting married (and I actually wore the bag in #14 with it).

#8 is a bit of a cheat since you can't see the whole outfit, but it represents the trench coat and two alternating print scarves I wore all through a trip to Budapest and Prague in September. I combined those with some simple knit dresses and cardigans, black leggings, and flat black boots, and felt pulled-together and cute the whole time.

#9 through #14 are my favorites out of the outfits I've posted since I've been participating, also in no particular order. I think my fashion choices have gotten a little stronger and more sophisticated since I've been on here, and I hope to keep that up and build on it next year! Particularly of note here are #14, which was a holiday party look where I left off some busy jewelry I was thinking of and wore sheer patterned hose instead of plain black tights after getting YLF feedback; #13, which was a tweaked version of an earlier outfit with a more cohesive color palette and a more sophisticated way of tying the scarf; and #10, which reflected a realization that I should just wear my favorite colors together instead of trying to get more wear out of things in colors I don't like as much.

I've looked at everyone's pictures upthread and, while I don't think I have enough time to even begin to comment, I loved seeing everyone's favorites. I feel almost like I've just gorged myself on a whole table full of delicious desserts after seeing all the beauty and yumminess here!

Late breaking-edit: I just realized I mistakenly attached the "before" version of my holiday party outfit rather than what I actually wore. So I added the correct version at the end and fixed some of the numbers in my original post so it makes sense.

Can I just say I am in awe of everyone who can give comments on each last poster? Amazing. I don't have the patience, although I am enjoying everyone's posts immensely!

I enjoyed the activity of stack-ranking my favorites and I've culled them down to the top 13 (pictured in order of preference). Some observations:

  • While a few fashion-forward outfits made the cut, I prefer simple, classic outfits that are figure flattering (at least, now that I'm down to an almost-healthy weight).
  • All of my favorites are from the second half of the year after I'd lost weight (#8 is the earliest and heaviest of the 13). At a heavier weight I was quite lost, partially because I didn't have as many options, and partially because I didn't feel happy about my body.
  • None of my more formal dressy outfits made the cut. I probably need to work on better cocktail/opera/party attire in 2014.
  • ETA, and I do love that taupe lace t-shirt and a sheer cream button-down, don't I? (-:

Don't feel obligated to comment, ladies. Like Mo, I am astounded of those who take that time to comment on each post, and won't feel the least bit slighted to not be called out specifically.

Wow. *You people* looked good this year!

To be honest, I didn't realise just how good...

LOL, Rachylou!
Here are some of what I hope are the best photos of some of my favorites this year with high happiness factor. There are missing outfits like the blue EF lantern dress and white jeans. Now to go back and enjoy everyone's choices.

Angie, you are simply amazing to comment on everyone's posts...and on New Year's Eve no less! Give your poor arms a rest and enjoy the night with Greg! You give so much to all of us....and it is much appreciated. Xoxoxo

This is a genuine Pinterest goldmine here! Definitely coming back for some inspiration. It makes me smile to see so many of my favorites were actually your favorites, too (Mo, MaryK, Diana, Jeanne, Natalie, Suz....).

Looking through all these has been a treat. I am struck that it is much more than just clothes. I see empowered vibrant individuals embracing their uniqueness - not to get too sappy! Also amazed at those members who took the time to comment on all the posts!

Wow! I'm a late comer but inspired to add a few from Jeneva's postings from past years......I posted in 2011 and 2012 and don't want to break a streak! This year I loved buttoned-to-the-top blouses with blazers. I also love the VC tube skirt, but don't have those pics here.

I love how we all looked so different and have such different styles and body shapes and ages and colouring and all that jazz - but damn, we all looked so good!

Here's a few from the last 6 months only since I got a new phone. Will be back to read on a bigger screen.

as i went thru everyone's favs, it struck me what a diverse group of women we are, and yet i am in awe of how we have come together to form a real community.

Oh this is such fun! I am going to take some time today to read through this whole post and tak a good look at all the photos. I've added some of mine, in no particular order. I really do wish I had taken more pictures as I know that I don't have pictures of a number of outfits that I really liked.
