Whoa! I’m SUPER glad that comments took a turn because I didn’t let them get away. I was going to wear them in secret--and not post any WIW’s in them. I hear many of you on the 80’s flashbacks but I never got to own floral pants back in the day I love that they are washed out and I think they are going to be easier for me to wear than optic white because I’m a magnet to dirt and grime. While the print is a little sweet, it is sweet in kind of a distressed way. The fit is very forgiving and the fabric is nice.
@Kalli, Glory, Columbine, Jules: thanks so much for taking the time to comment. I totally get your POV.
@Texstyle: Thanks! I can’t wait to see your pants. I have rotten luck with LE too. The only thing I usually can wear is “gear” oriented outerwear--fleece and such Canvas is better but a little on the preppy side.
@Tina.b: Thank you. Glad to know a printed pant fan! I do think some edge will help to toughen them up.
@Angie: Thank you! Always great to have your blessing
@MaryK: Thanks! LOL!
@Unfrumped: Thank you. I love the idea of picking up a darker color. I didn’t even think about that. I automatically just thought of white--now I’m considering a light mossy green or even my army vest. You have great style instincts!
@Deborah: Thank you! I can’t wait to see your floral pants in action. I have a feeling you will make them look SO chic.
@Alicat,Thistle and sarah: Thanks!
@Isis: Thank you. I threw on the only tee I could find. I’m still searching for the perfect one. Perhaps the boots will look better with them rolled up. I was just trying to figure out how to get more wear out of those boots. They are problematic.
@Lyrebirdgully: Wow, thank you for your in-depth comments. I see what you mean about the sleeve length. I prefer sleeves most of the time and it amazes me at how hard it is to find one that is flattering. I agree that a plain V neck would probably look the best--it would add to the toughness. Your observations are so astute!
@rachylou: How did I know that you would want them paired with black?! LOL. Thank you. I tried them on originally with my black tee and thought they looked pretty good
@RoseandJoan: Thank you! I love your description of the print! SO perfect. That is exactly what I see now that you point it out
@Laura: Thanks! I’m glad to have your blessing too. Jules IS so eloquent.
@CC: Thank you. I’m thinking my abrasive (at times) personality can do the trick!
@Runcaria: Thanks! I am actually RATE except during the summer. Then I just slip into what’s comfortable.
@Jonesy! Thank you for chiming in. So nice to hear from you. I bet you are sweeter than me. I’m glad to have more floral pant love.
@Una: LOL! I totally understand about the 80’s issues. The floral pants I remember are the ones Michael J Fox’s girlfriend wore in Back to the Future--they were pink and blue if I recall.
@lyn: Thanks!

Did not have a chance to read all comments, but I want to say I like them on you. They are quite muted so a lovely spring light bottom with a little something extra. I do not see Twee, but IRL does the floral stand out more than in photo? They are not mom jean style so the 80's flashback is not happening for me.

LOL, thanks, Jjsloane! The print is very washed out IRL so I think they will be okay. Thanks for chiming on!

I like it with the denim jacket. What is the brand of these jeans?

I don't think it's twee, but it is sweet in a subtle way. I likey!

You cover two trends in one: floral and pastels. : ) Oh, make that three with your first styled pic: almost white.

Love 'em, especially with your more rugged items!

Kelly, I see I am awfully late to this, Just wanted to let you know that I really like these on you, and have surprised myself, really, with liking them - while I don't mind floral patterns, and don't mind floral pants, these initially seem awfully "sweet" -- yet styled as you have styled them they are fresh, fun, and summery on you and work brilliantly in contrast with your dark hair. Love!!

Awwww Kelly, I am smiling over your comment about keeping them and wearing them in secret. You are adorable! I love them on you and hope you have no qualms about sporting them both on and off the forum. Glad you are keeping them

Well, it's a little late to be chiming in, but I thought I'd let you know that I thought I wouldn't like them from the title, but I really do. They're "sweet"er than your normal WIW style, but I think you really made them you, especially in the second style. And I think you rock them perfectly with all the light colors - they'll be perfect for summer.

I'm laughing at the thought of you having "secret" floral jeans, Kelly! If you saw a YLF-er coming you'd have to duck down an alley. Heh. I am so glad you're keeping them.

Why is everyone so down on the word "sweet," anyway? A little sweetness can be a good thing!

I love the pants on you. I'm not wild about the shoes you have them paired with, but I think that's a pretty easy change.

Thanks for the continued support! I’m excited to start wearing these. Of course, now I’m thinking about adding a low wedge sneak into the mix and becoming a trendanista
@AJ: The jeans are from Gap Outlet. They were already in the clearance section. These fit better than the new cuffed version they had out. Hard to beat for under $20.
@Aida: Thanks!
@Suz: That makes two of us! No one is more surprised than me--I tried them on a whim because of the faded floral print. Thanks for chiming in.
@Debora: Lol! I’m kind of sneaky, aren’t I. Honestly, if they got a thumbs down on fit or looked MDAL, I would have returned.
@amiable: Thank you! It’s definitely more sweet than usual I relax the rules for summer though.
@Alicat: Thanks! Yes, I think “sweet is often negatively associated with “‘twee.” I don’t mind a bit of sweet--just nothing OTT. Davey says “hi.”
@Kristin: Thank you. Perhaps some sneaks? LOL

Hi, cutie-pie Davey! I know you'll be rocking orange and white for spring and looking purr-fect!
