I'm noticing a very definite change in my footwear choices over the last six months. I'm moving further and further away from heels over 2 inches. Although I love my green Poetic Licence pumps and Kate Spade blue patent pumps and will have them for years (hopefully) and nothing will change my love of my high heeled Docs, my latest footwear purchases have all been boots, booties or oxfords with no more than a 2 inch heel. And my bad knee is thanking me for these choices.
I always worried that a lower chunkier heel would make me feel less feminine and somehow "clunky" but they don't at all and in fact, make me feel saucy, edgy and stylish.
The one pair of shoes I am missing and could see myself getting great use from is a pair of plain black oxfords. I have the tri-tone patent oxfords from Jeffrey Campbell and find them very comfortable on my foot. Based on that, I'm looking at this pair as my possible next shoe purchase...what do you think? Are there others that you would recommend?
