I really love these bronzed calf hair boots by Frye (style is Felicity, and they also come in pewter!), but they are, like, over $700 and not widely enough available to stalk.
What do you think about a little DIY magic with these? I already have some bronze shoe color waiting for action, and if it turns out bleah, they can go back to black. Not everyone's idea of a summer shoe, but 1) I wear boots year round, and 2) my job does not allow open-toed shoes, even in summer. This is a great heel height for me, have very good ratings, and I've found them for even cheaper than the 6pm price. Downside is that they are black, but I'm thinking the bronze would lighten them up while still allowing them to bookend my hair.
