Portland, OR mini-meet?

So...would any fellow Portland, OR YLFers be up for a mini-meet sometime soon (after this current heat wave has passed)? I'm thinking a Saturday or Sunday, shopping optional? I'm totally up for the "window" version even though I'm going for Ascetic, Aesthetic August myself.

Yay, YLFers!

So, any favorite places in the city we should visit (shopping or not)? Not that I'd mind Nordy's or the Rack or whatnot--I've only been here for 2 years so far and when I'm in town I'm pretty much doing things other than shopping, so I'm good with whatever we pick.

So, @rabbit, you might be away for a bit, ok...as for me, my weekends aren't majorly scheduled until Sept., so I can probably work around others' plans if there are times that are out for anyone.

That would be cool, @Firecracker.

If Rabbit is available, I'll suggest tomorrow or the 16th. I'm gone the next two weekends (a brief meet on a weekday, anyone?).

And does anyone want to discuss the Big Bash in Seattle?

Hi Cerinda!

I can say that of those days, the 16th would work better for me, as I have a project due Monday... (also that eve I might suggest we could hit the monthlyish opening at People's Art gallery, could be fun after whatever else we do? ETA for general info: these events are quite informal and easygoing.)

If we waited until September, the 6th would probably be the next most logical date? I could also consider a weekday.

Isn't there a concentration of local designers' work in the shops along Burnside? That might be fun.

So, hi! On this...I *think* this weekend, 3 of us here could meet (of course, others are welcome to join in if it suits)--do we want to do that and then maybe schedule something in a couple of weeks when other member(s) are available? Or we could just wait until then.

I'm in for Saturday for a few hours. I think Cerinda also mentioned checking out the Pearl. I'd love to see what is going on there or on Burnside. I'm in a bit of a shopping lull right now. I'm not actively looking for anything. However, that doesn't keep me from having fun browsing! And I'd love to meet you both, of course. Just let me know the details!
