...and thank-you for thinking of us over the last few months. We are all now in sunny Perth, Australia, ready to begin the next chapter of our lives. DH is in hospital and is slowly regaining some strength, he has an excellent medical team and incredible mental stamina and fortitude.
The children and I are staying in an apartment nearby. Our house is being vacated and the end of Jan, and our belongings should arrive Feb/March.
Watching DH go through cancer treatment and surgery fills me with grief and love and awe; he epitomizes Randy Pausch's comment from The Last Lecture, that 'you can't change the cards you're dealt, only how you play them'. Cancer is so unfair, but we are also blessed in many many ways with family, friends, community, and resources.
