Popped collars

Hi.

I'm new to this site and came across it after googling popped collars.

My husband loves seeing me in dress shirts with the collars turned up and while I like the look, I don't get why it drives him so wild.

He also loves seeing me in shirts and ties (which I also like).

Does anyone else like this look?

I had an ex (girlfriend) who liked this too but I never thought much of it at the time.

Welcome! I like it very much for framing the face. It seems to work best on someone with a longish neck or at least not a short neck. Angie is queen of the popped collar

I've noticed. She truly rocks a poped collar - i love the purple striped shirt she has.

I don't think it's a fashion thing for my husband though so i'm at a loss. As I say my ex girlfriend loved it too, along with tuxedos and bowties (a look I absolutely love) so maybe it's a fetish???

I'm in the uk so had to wear a shirt and tie at school and on occasion I and my friends would leave our shirt collars up and our ties loose. It never really insighted a reaction then.

I'm one to pop my collars. I also have a long neck. I love the look. When I don't do it, I think collars look odd.

I like the look, too, but in my case it's coat and jacket collars that get popped - shirts don't work for me. I feel too neat and tidy with a flat collar, somehow.
The downside of popping a collar is that sometimes a well-meaning person - often a complete stranger - will insist on turning it down again, as if I haven't dressed myself properly!

I've got to the point where a flat collar feels weird so I have my collars up at all times (nearly). If my collar is down I need to be wearing a tie or at least have my top button fastened up.

I've had people try and put my collar down and it really winds me up as it's clearly not bothering me even if it were to be accidental.

One day at church I was wearing my denim dress and I had popped the collar (I might have a long neck, too). After the service an older man came over and "fixed" my collar for me, telling me I didn't know how to get dressed or something like that.

I don't think I look very regal with the collar up lol I just like how it looks and feels, it makes me feel.....confident and it really annoys me when people try to "fix" it.

Bonjours I am myself fan of beautiful shirts and tie I wear them every day I always close my collar of chemse I like this look
