Ponte Squee-ing

Just bought the Kut from the Kloth pants Angie talks about in today's post

I bought a size 12 and 14, based on my measurements. I guess I'm extra squishy but I often find I actually want to size down a little. On the other hand, maybe that was just my pre-baby, free-wheeling, bombshell-style, somewhat-thinner me. LOL So I decided to err on the side of not-sausage.

I can not wait for them to come! This will be my first ever pair of ponte pants. Squee!

These are the same pants I got last year, and I find them very comfortable, easy to wear and versatile! They are great for traveling, and i just wore them last week to fly to and from Nova Scotia. I find them TTS (usually a 6 or 8 in Kuts and 8 is just right). And they are long enough, hooray!

I hope they work out as well for you as they have for me.

I hope they work out for you! I am eyeing these too, as I noticed today that they are cotton! (I find most poly-based ponte too hot and itchy, and cotton ponte is so hard to find.) Plus they have a 32" inseam which is just perfect for me.

Janet, can I ask you about sizing? (I also left a question for Angie about it on the blog post.) I have to size down in all the KUT jeans, otherwise they slide down during the day; in general I find them to be very generously sized. Did you find the same to be true of the ponte pants, or are they more true to size? I'd actually rather not have to size down because I want the legs to be looser.

Diana, I have needed a smaller size in every other Kut thing I've tried on, and I could have worn these smaller, but I'm happy with the size I got. If you want the legs to be looser, I'd go up a size from your usual Kut size. They do stretch out a little as the day goes on, but not as much as a lot of other pants do.

Or you may want to order both sizes to be sure.

If those were the same ones that were on sale during the Nordstrom Yearly Sale, and I think they are, I had to return them because they were too tight. Normally I err on the side of sizing down with Kut jeans, but these were too snug in that size. I could have reordered a size up but since I'm still losing a bit of weight I decided just to return. Hopefully one of the sizes will work for you!

Thanks, Janet and Laura. Sounds like I can just order my regular (non KUT) size then.
