Ponte skinnies for a pear?

I'm a curvy houglass, but my bottom half is functionally the same as that of pear shaped ladies--small waist, wide hips/rear. I'm on the hunt for skinny ponte knit pants--any recommendations for brands that might work for my body type? Bonus if they are under $50.

Have you checked at Costco? I got a few pairs with vertical seams down the front (lengthening) last year and a co-worker got a few pairs that are jean styled earlier this year.

Macy's usually has a great selection of ponte pants at many price points.

Yes, I popped thru our Macy's on an errand today & got a ponte pencil skirt deeply reduced in the I.N.C. section. Pretty sure there were pants too.

Excellent suggestions above. I am also a pear and have had good luck with Vince Camuto ponte pants from Nordstrom. Beware, they are ankle length. I have the hem let all the way out and the waist taken in a smidge and for short legged me they work.

I've had good luck with my ponte pants from White House Black Market too. They are much thicker than a legging and have 2 different cuts and different lengths too. They also have seemed to work with weight fluctuations.

Hi ladies- I took the plunge and ordered some (I'm new here)- but I'm wondering about styling ponte skinnies for pears. I'm thinking just high boots, right? Any other shoes that might work>

I have had great luck at Nordstrom's. Bonus that the ponte seems thicker and drapes better than I have found other places.

I can second the Vince Camuto ponte pants as well. I hve them and they are fab, but ankle length on my 5'6" self.

JJ, I prefer longer tops to go with tighter pants like ponte skinnies, something that's at the low hip. And yes, boots or anything with a bit more visual weight gives the look nice balance. Oxfords could be fun, or sneakers for a casual day if that's your style.

I have some ponte leggings from Vince Camuto and love them. I also have some Lysee leggings from Nordstrom that have a bonus - a control top waist, without feeling sucked in / restricted. They're not ponte per se but function the same way my VC leggings do. I always wear tunics (bum covering) with these type of pants.

I am not 100% sure if you are looking for leggings or straight legs pants, though, by your original post.

I also have some Vince Camuto ponte PANTS that are straight leg, not skinnies, and they are great. They launder well (wash, hang to dry) but they are a straight leg, you couldn't tuck them into boots, for example.

I bought Macy's INC skinny ponte pull-on pant with a curved, 3.5" waist and it fits perfectly. The fabric is a really nice stretchy mid-weight, heavy enough to look neat without wrinkling excessively. Give them a try.
