Polka dots are my leopard

When Angie did the Team Stripes vs Team Polka Dots, I was stripes all the way. I did not own a single polka dotted item. Now I have two scarves, a dress, and a skirt all in polka dots. And now this equipment shirt! I love how the two-button placket looks casual while giving the shirt a sleeker look with no gapping.

The Old Navy denim jacket was on my doorstep at lunch--I did not wear it today. I'm quite pleased with it!

I know Angie is moving away from patterns, but I just discovered them after decades of solids!

Are you moving towards patterns or away from them? Are you obsessed with any particular pattern? What is your leopard? (Leopard counts too!)

I'd have to say that dots are my leopard too, especially for summer clothes. For winter clothing it's probably snake. When I came to YLF, I didn't own a single piece of printed clothing except scarves. Like you, I'm loving pattern and I enjoy the fun of pattern mixing. Dots work very well for that.

I love polka dots! I have just recently discovered patterns, and am finding them amazingly "forgiving" to a new mom!

Joy, I love snake too. So wearable and comes in the colors you and I love!

Thistle, I always thought patterns enhanced, and didn't realize they could also conceal or distract!

I love patterns! I also have the same ON jacket, purchased on sale in the fall, everything about it (denim jacket! white!) is totally ylf inspired. I'm not quite ready to wear winter white, so it is waiting for spring!

This look is made for you! I like the way the white lights up your face! I'm still enjoying patterns, particularly light woven tops meant for hot days when you can't layer! I am being picky about them however, since I love what I love and tire of so-so patterned items.

My leopard is stripes, but polka-dots are very close second. I intend to wear them for quite a while, nowhere near tired of them.

Tanya, I'm not tired of them either! I thought twice about getting this shirt when I have the other items, but every polka dotted item I have is in a different color pattern and each new combo seems fresh! I have (dot color first): lavender and black, white and navy, and whoops another white and navy but the pattern is random instead of geometric, black and parsnip (a dark cream), and black and white.

JJ, you're the only leopard so far! Interesting!

Tina, I'm fighting getting addicted to Equipment shirts.... have you looked at the Everlane silk shirts? I might try one.

Beth Ann, the concepts of "light" and "woven" are quite new to me! There was a time in the not so distant past when I made a point of only wearing black tees!

Jules, I'm not ready to wear a white jacket either, even in CA! But probably soon, sometime in March, since it is CA.

You look great in polka dots! Love the shirt and white jacket together! I think polka dots are my favorite pattern right now too! I love patterns of all kinds--stripes, florals, leopard, etc but polka dots are my favorite. Peacock print is another fave, as well as snakeskin.

Stripes are my leopard print with florals (surprisingly) not far behind. I adore polka dots and actual leopard print- just haven't found the perfect items featuring those patterns yet. I've been on the hunt for a polka dot blouse (Love yours btw) and flats and a leopard print scarf and flats for the longest.

I just bought a Old Navy cotton sweater that's gray with mint polka dots and a pair of dotted gap skinnies. My daughter/stylist has banned me from wearing together but stripes and dots she supports! Love your dots and white denim jacket, very fresh for spring!

Oooo, I love your new items. And have I told you I love your specs? (I have specs on the brain, sorry). The dotted blouse looks really good on you. I tend to like small dots over large ones. Your jacket is great, and I love your patterned hound! You need to take him with you everywhere as an accessory!

I have a great weakness for stripes and animal prints. All others need not apply.

Claire, thanks! I felt the glasses were a risk. Also I had sworn never to get black again. I don't think they're popular at my workplace, but I'm really enjoying them! I have always love cateye suggested shapes, so these are fun for me.

Jan, I have a daughter/stylist too--a couple of them--I say try them together just once when she's not looking!

Jewell, I'm trying to learn to identify my wardrobe needs and fill them patiently like you! I tend to buy on impulse. What saves me is that I have a good idea of my style so most of my purchases work.
