Polka dot converse - still too clownish?

I tried these on at a local shoe store today. I'm still not sure whether these look okay on me or too long and clownish. I would love to know what you think! Pls keep in mind that I dont wear bootcut jeans and I want sneakers to wear with skinnies.

Dotty in shoe form! Love them! Converses look great with skinnies, in my opinion. Haha.

i love these. also, have you thought abt diy painting the tops of your other shoes? i think love maegan did one with spray paint. very cute, say in fuschia or hot pink or even the trendy mint.

I like them but you might get more wear from a solid color. I do wear my tweed Cons all the time but hey are gray tones and pretty neutral (and like 6 yrs old).
Did you see Natalie/goldenpig's picks of her Red Cons with skinnies recently? I didn't think her feet looked clownish.

I would skip the polka dots on these. I've never been that fond of converse but I've grown more accustomed to them lately. I think polka dots take them back the other direction for me.

I love Cons (have solid grey ones) and think they can definitely work in a wardrobe. I'm wondering if the polka dot ones are versatile enough though? They are cute.

They are adorable! I want a pair of "out there" ones, too, so I bought on pair on sale in a neutral (natural) that can work with other things in my wardrobe. Check out Ross--there have been some really good sales, although you'll have to pick through a lot of stuff.

Sorry, but I'm a dissenter. As much as LOVE polka dots, I don't think I like them on the Converse. I have actually been looking at them online and think they are so cute, but I think they look a bit juvenile, especially with skinny jeans. I think I might like them a bit better with bootcuts (because more of them would be hidden) but not with skinny jeans. I vote for more oxfords...

Cute, but that fights a little with the clean sporty vibe of Cons --- it wouldn't be as versatile as your other shoes, and I'm only mentioning this because you pride yourself on the lean, mean curating!

They're cute, but I think the white laces are fighting with the white polka dots for attention. The polka dot whimsy of it all is a bit lost to me. Maybe with navy coloured laces...?

I think they're cute and your feet don't look clownish. I feel that way sometimes too but I think it's just a perception issue with looking down on the shoes. In the side shot, your feet like quite small.

I have decided that Cons don't look as long on my feet as I think, but that this is not the pair for me. I'll try a solid colour next time!

I love them and i think the polka dots can almost be treated as a neutral and go with many different things. I am a big fan of Converse and pattern though lol.
