Pointed toe sneakers still on point?

As much as I've loved my patent pointed to booties, I'm thinking I need a summer version in sneaker form, maybe quilted, maybe metałlic. And I can't seem to find any in my size other than Miu Miu versions.

Are these still a thing? And has anyone seen them around? The Steve Madden versions get varying reviews but mostly are not available in a 6.

Oh the Everlanes are a lot like the Trouves - why don't they come up on Shopstyle or other searches? Ideally some sort of either metallic or quilted/texture is what I want to give a little edge, but those are really cute!

Everlane shoes are very narrow, by the way. They don't fit me at all.

I am sort of in love with the Trouve ones finally, after being totally uninterested for a year. I suppose that's how trends work - I move slowly in committing to new looks. Are they sold out in your size?

Yeah me too - and now my size is sold out. I'm not quite ready for light shoes like the grey ones. If the Everlanes are narrow there is no chance for me!

I ordered the Trouves back in January - epic fail. Fit much bigger than true size, and were wide . Just a no-go. Were't worth reordering and incurring additional shipping charges to get another size. The pair I received were pretty plasticy looking too, although I know others here on the forum have them and love them. I think maybe I got a bad pair. And ...I've not seen a pointed toe pair anywhere locally .

I have and love the pale grey Trouve pair. They work very well for my feet.

Rachel Zoes line has this gorgeous metallic pair that was sadly completely out of my budget.

Lisa, for me the wider-than-expected thing sounds good. Maybe I'll try the grey pair. But like Una I'm not sure I can take the leap to light footwear!

I am also debating the pointed slip-on sneaker for a summer shoe. I have not tried the Trouves, but I have tried the Steve Maddons and I was really confused. The smaller of the 2 sizes (that I tried) was looser on me (I could walk out of them) than the bigger size. I decided that I needed to think about it longer before making a decision on them. I also tried the Shelley's of London - but couldn't find a size that worked for me. They were either too big or too small! I'll see if I can find a link to the Shelley's!

I am liking my trouves well enough but I still grab ballet flats more than anything. The sneakers make me feel like my feet are In coffin. But that's in general, not just with the slip in trouves
