So DH and I have had a little discussion. It appears he actually has some bluetooth headphones around the house somewhere so I'll give them a go.
However, and it's a big one, I'll still need to carry them around with me if I want to carry in shopping, hang out washing, or do tasks in the front yard (currently trying to uproot morning glory). So I guess it's back to my apron!
Bella I meant to respond earlier to your post (in my lost post I did!) It totally makes sense that in the pandemic people would often both have less podcast time and that some popular topics, like crime, would be less popular. My listening is not crime based, and I'm listening less because of the lessened commute time, but my kids are teens. For the last three weeks they were on holiday and slept in past noon. Even now they are at school online but don't need my input much. So hours of time with no people contact (I only work part time)
The different thing I do with podcasts in the pandemic is use them to lull me to sleep. Usually I'm a huge reader too Suntiger (1 book a week is a slow week), especially before bed, but I didn't stock up on quite the right sort of books for my current mood before the libraries closed . (I did read almost all the ones I did have, but am struggling with the last, which is set in occupied France - I want more lighthearted stuff!) and haven't made the change to kindle yet. However our library is staring up a limited click and collect option so I'll get some books soon.
