Well, I've worn these around the house a few times now, at varying times of day, and they seem comfortable even without invisible socks. They look good with full length and rolled straights and skinnies, and I love the way they pick up a little bit of white in an outfit without being WHITE shoes (which I never feel comfortable wearing). They do not slip off my heels, yay! So it looks like I found one pair of shoes at NAS, and these are keepers.

Thanks! I am not really adding anything else for fall/winter footwear at the moment. I'm happy with what I have from last year -- I'm well set with booties and boots that still look current to me, and I have some nice oxfords and loafers as well. I got a TON of wear from the Paul Green lug sole loafers from a couple of years ago, so these will take some of the burden from those. The PG's are starting to look a little worn too. I like that these are neutral yet still have some visual interest.

Good tip about the white in the shoe. I don't like white shoes with my dark hair, but this would work.

I've always liked DP shoes- comfortable and nice quality. I agree with you on white shoes and these look like a great way to add a bit of lightness.

I'm glad these worked out. I like to use snakeskin for a lighter shoe color also - it can be more interesting than grey or white.

Janet - I recently got these similar ones (when Macy’s was having a 40% off sale). I find them comfortable without socks, and I’m super happy with them. This is my first shoe of this brand.

Janet, yes! If they stock them in Vancouver I might be able to try them when we arrive there. The sale will be over, but that's okay -- they will likely go on sale again later in the season.

Glad they worked out. I also enjoy snake print shoes. I have a pair of snake print sandals and just as you said, they are my white. As much as I love white shoes and boots, I'm struggling with white for myself. Maybe it's a brunette thing?

Colette, I think it's the brunette thing, and for me, a personal preference to keep a lower contrast look, particularly on my lower half. I wear mostly dark-toned bottoms, so white shoes just seem too jarring to me. But I happily wear metallics. Silver is my white.

Okay, Janet, since you said these didn’t slip off your heels I had to lemming them. I have much, much harder to fit than you, and don’t have much hope but I still have to try. . .
