I LOVE the heels on those oxfords! What potential they have to make an outfit go from average to amazing!!

They are "professor worthy" so what's not to love?! I love the heel height and shape, and the tweed. They seem like they'd work with pants and skirts just dandy. In the cons column, I'm not a huge fan of the grosgrain ribbon ties--a bit girlish and maybe not so practical for the winter. How'd I do in convincing you not to buy them :)?

I think Medusa had a similar pair (in a different color) and she rocked them like nobody's business. So yes, you should get them.

They are wool which may not be weather friendly. We are going into rain/sleet/snow season. And by spring you may want a different printed shoe.

I've been back and forth on these all season. The reviews tend to say that they're a little pinchy and you need to size way up to alleviate that. But the real issue is whether I really like that heel all that much. Do I really want a shoe in my closet that from day to day, I might look at it and say, Nah, too clown-y for my outfit? It's definitely unique and interesting, but I don't know that bubbly/clowny/whimsical/Claes Oldenburg-y is really how I want to go, shoe-wise.

I knew these would be the shoes you were talking about the minute I realized it was an Anthropologie link. I, too, swooned over them.

I dunno, Medusa has pretty fussy feet and she really liked hers, so I wouldn't rule out comfort. And she is a professor, so they clearly *are* professorial.

I like the looks of the shoe allot and a 2 inch heel is fine. If they are comfortable and you love them I would to them. My shoe have got to be be comfy.

Eh. If I had those, I'd never be able to keep the fabric clean and the ribbon would fray just from the breeze AND stain from everything around me. (Although it looks like you can replace the ribbon.) And they do look like they wouldn't really mold comfortably to your feet the way leather would.

Does that help? Probably not, as I don't think you're a klutz like me!
