I already have my Doc Marcies, the Doc Sara oxfords and the Doc Danielle animal print shoes. Do I really need another pair of Docs?

But wouldn't these look great with my new Gap BF jeans? And I don't have a pair of the 14-eyelets....

No you don't need another pair!

This is a no brainer for me because Docs don't work with my modern classic style. While I believe that there is no such thing as too many shoes, Docs are the exception to this rule.

Aren't you going to buy a fabulous leather jacket with your fun money?

Very very cute and very good price. Do they duplicate your Doc Marcies a little though? You have a pretty darned gorgeous Doc collection with those three you list.

Three pairs are enough. I'm one of your three other pairs will look great with your BF jeans. I've always thought the boots looked cuter than the boots.
Or buy another pair of boots from a different maker.

How are you set for tall boots? I can't seem to remember any from last season.

What is the shipping going to be like for these?

Have you had the "classic" Doc fit on your foot before? They are notably wider than the feminized styles - the Marcies are the first to be narrow enough for my foot. My foot slides around terribly in the other kind. You may want to try a similar style on before you buy.

Rae - for tall boots I have my cognac ones (although those are truly winter, fully lined boots) and my grey slouchy ones. Shipping will be crazy but sweet Rita might help me out as she did when I ordered the Doc Danielle's (of course, I'm speaking for her here....). I haven't tried the classic fit - that's an excellent suggestion. We have a local store that carries very limitd Docs in the classic eyelets. Will maybe pop in and try them on for comfort.

k can shop - all my other Docs have the tall wedge heel. These are flat, which I'm interested in.

qpswan - I'm a huge fan of Docs and part of my style rubric is "urban/edge" - which I normally incorporate with my footwear. Although the Docs may not be part of your style which I completely respect, they are definitely part of mine. I wear my Doc Marcie boots with pencil skirts and sheath dresses all the time. I've even worn them with my summer floral dress! And not worry - still on the hunt for that gorgeous leather jacket (which has been removed from their website, which makes me worry...but that's another post)

Buy them if they will complete an outfit that none of your other shoes look good with. Which probably means, don't buy them...

I think your other Docs work better with the BF jeans than these will. I'm being honest. They are too similar in color to the jeans, plus they are at that awkward mid-height for anything cuffed - not low enough to show skin. Your heeled Docs do a much better job IMHO.

I think if you jump on 14 eyelet Docs, they should be a solid leather. I dig the BF jeans with a heel or loafer or flat.
