Like Suz, I usually go barefoot around the house in the summer, but I've got to have warm, cozy slippers in the winter, because my feet are always cold.
I've been wearing Uggs for the last couple of years, and I like them a lot, but I've decided I'd rather have a clog that's really easy to slip on and off, so I've ordered some Haflingers. I had some years ago and they were wonderful and warm.
They can be worn outdoors in a pinch, but I'll keep mine as indoor shoes.

I love my Vionic slippers! I about fainted when I looked at the price tag...for slippers! However, I cannot wait to put them on every evening. Worth.every.penny.

I wear the cotton china doll mary janes. Mine are a gray plaid flannel from Target a few years back, but UO has a lot of fun colors right now. I do wear through the toes after a while, but at $10ish/pair, they're not a big deal to replace.

My feet must be toasty in winter, so my slippers are chosen for warmth over either style or support. I will go barefoot in the summer. In winter I wear this nifty Tamarac number with warm shearling. Not the height of stylish but they do have a firm leathery sole. For style (laugh if you wish) I wear this furry bootie I bought last winter. Just thinking about them makes me happy. I must be channeling an inner Viking or something.

I have been very happy with Michael Kors Cori slippers like the ones in the find only with no logo in blush. Mine are still in great shape after 2 years of constant wear inside.

Year-round, I wear these Acorn Chinchilla Collar slippers. This past winter I literally wore them every single day and they're still going strong. I bought a second pair on Amazon when I found a sale, but haven't had to break out the back-up pair yet. Machine washable, too! They also smell like vanilla candles. The smell eventually fades away.

I'm usually barefoot in the house in the summer. Then I'll transition to handknit wool socks, and as it continues to get colder, I'll add shoes. Usually these Birks.

I have a friend who gets a new pair of these LL Bean slippers every 5 years or so, and I'm a little jealous.

I'm a big fan of these LL Bean slippers. They're comfortable and very sturdy. I go sockless in the summer and wear them with warm wooly socks when it's cold. And they work great for half asleep middle of the night emergency dog walks outdoors. Or just a trip to the garbage. I get them in navy.

I usually wear flipflops in the summer and loafers or moccasins in the winter. We live in an indoor/outdoor environment and the doors are all open except when it is really cold or really hot. The dogs come and go as they please and I am bad about walking in the garden in my house shoes. So really, they are house and garden shoes.

With hardwood floors, my feet are always cold. I am enjoying these.

My goodness - so many wonderful choices! Chiming back in to correct (seems I'm always making corrections) - the brand of slipper I wear is Isotoner - but ballet style like the tender tootsie. Very thick cushiony insole.

I wear my Birkenstock Mayari's in the house in summer but I do wear them on the street as well. I buy a new colour each spring so I have a selection of colours. We have mostly hardwood floors with wool area carpets and runners and I don't find the sandals carry in much dirt and dust from outside. Winter is whole other story here in rainy Vancouver! I wear socks with Aerosole suede booties that never go outside. Again, I have a small selection of colours to keep me from getting bored and to save them from getting too shabby too fast.

My winter slippers are the same LL Bean ones as mentioned above. In summer it's Vionic flip flops.

I wear dance shoes around the house. They have a very thin heel to avoid pain while stepping out to get the mail, but just a leather sole on the forefoot, which give them a barefoot sort of feel. But they definitely aren't supportive!

These are mine. I have 2 pair and wear them year round as my feet get cold in our home AC.

These won't work for you due to size, but currently I am wearing these men's slippers from Target (I have large feet so the men's size works). They are very comfy and affordable, which is important as I am also hard on my slippers. I bought them in Navy.

I wear Birks in the summer. In the winter I had a pair of Merrells like Suz which I loved. I wore them out. I am looking to replace. Some good options here. I need support and warmth.

It took me forever to find "house shoes" that I like, are comfortable, and practical for dashing outside with the pups. I wear the Merrell Breeze for spring/summer, merrel ice for fall/winter with socks. Totally comfy, long lasting, and I can run down to the mailbox and not worry about spoiling a fragile slipper. Maybe it's a reverse chic thing (hey I've got a a major thing for pure black nubuck hiking boots too) but I feel fab in them - practical, comfortable, pain free, happy feet and arches. I'm sure part of it is that since I'm usually in black leggings they blend but, nope, I don't feel experience Suz's frumpy feeling, I just feel happy!!

Easy Spirit Traveltime. I wear them around the house and outdoors, but not often anywhere else, although I could. I buy a new pair every year or so and they can usually be found on sale online. They easily accommodate Superfeet berries.

This year I got silvery one with sparkles that my DH calls Princess Shoes. How would he know about princess anything?

They come in many patterns and colors.

Gryffin, I think it's because I work from home. So I wear them most of the time and don't get to wear my nicer shoes. If I worked outside the home like you and put these on when I came home (and on weekends) they would be absolutely perfect and I wouldn't mind them, because in other ways they can't be beat. Yours was a terrific recommendation. The comfort and support for my foot is divine.

OH -- and here is where you get to chuckle at me -- I SHOULD HAVE ordered them in black!! I got them in what I thought was burgundy but turned out to be more of a soft rust. It's not an awful colour, but I'm sure the black would have felt more sophisticated. So my next pair (and yes, there WILL BE a next pair) will be black or charcoal if such exists.

I also want to put another word in for the Uggs that Parsley showed. I ordered those to try last year as well and almost kept them - - they were absolutely gorgeous high quality slippers and I loved the tan colour I got as well as the navy she is showing. The only problem for me is that they would not stay on my feet due to my narrow heels. Otherwise, they were perfect.

Nothing of value to add to Angie's pos but surely I can't be the only one going barefoot year round?!

Barefoot in the summer most of the time but I do have a pair of Birkenstock house shoes when I'm cooking all day for support. In the winter, I used to only wear socks but I'm so cold I had to break down and get warm slippers. I purchased Ugg Bailey's for house slippers or I wear my Giesswein boiled wool slippers depending on my outfit. I love my Giesswein slippers but they don't make the style any more so I collected a somewhat similar pair.

Oh! A trick for the uggs is that if you are a women's size 8 or smaller you can buy the children's version for less money. My sister always buys the kids Ugg Dakotas, and I have tried hers on. They feel just like the women's ones. Too wide for me unfortunately. A "big kid" 6 is equal to women's 8.

I try to go barefoot whenever possible, but last winter I discovered the Restoration Hardware foot duvets and LOVE them. Not sure if the sole is structured enough for you; still, mine are in good enough shape to wear again this year and my toes tend to wear through shoes (just discovered today that my Franco Sarto Holts are half-destroyed in the lining, sigh).

Diana, that is a great tip -- I am tempted to see if it might work for me. Thank you!

Too early, too quiet and too dark to snap pictures but in the summer I wear Birkenstock Gizehs in the house and in the winter warm slip on slippers with socks at all times!

I do love to go barefoot but have been having foot pain issues more these days. I found these slippers at Bed Bath and Beyond not long ago and they are super comfy! I haven't had them long so I can't speak to their durability. Just comfort! http://www.bedbathandbeyond.co.....-blue.html

On the much pricier end of the spectrum, I just found this site that is very intriguing! I have not even tried a pair of these, but wow do they look great! http://mahabis.com

I wear thick, warm, soft socks instead of slippers. Even in the summer I wear them because my feet are always cold.

A lovely bonus: Socks make it easy to do fun ballet pirouettes and spins on the tile kitchen floor while I wait for my coffee to heat in the microwave!

These are mine. And in summer I wear a pair of very old, pink Mephisto slip-on sandals, a sub-brand called Mobils.
