Sounds terrible, but my very favorite *ever* shirt is in dire straits I had a couple very small stains from lunch out on it, and like the dumbass fool I am, thought I could put a little dish soap on it and it would be fine...stains came out great, but extra water got on it...no problem, right? ARRRGGGHH! It left HUGE water stains, looked at the tag- dry clean only!!!! WHY I didn't look beforehand, I don't know, except to say I *am* a dumbass I am supposed to get it back from the dry cleaners on Thursday, but to say they were not encouraging is an understatement And it is not still available for replacement

Oh, I would've, if I had been smart enough to actually look! I just thought it would be like everything else I have....should've realized it didn't look like the others, why would you treat it like the others, dumbass?? If I could turn back time I would've brought it in without f'ing it up first, no doubt

And everybody laughs at me at work when I tie a big towel around myself before I eat lunch! I know my propensity for stains! Hope it works out.

Oh biscuitsmom--please don't be so hard on yourself. It's a mistake many of us have made. You are not a (word I won't say.) It's a shirt. You know, sometimes where I have stained a dry-clean item and it came back with the same spots, I say, what the heck! And I wash it and it turns out okay.

It's hard when you accidentally ruin something you love, I know. I've done it many times. Hugs to you.

Depending on the fabric, the best way to fix it may be to wash it in water. Even with a dry clean only item. Hope the cleaners can fix it for you

Oh No !! That is a terrible feeling. I am sorry. But please don't be so hard on yourself. We get desperate and often try to handle it ourselves.

Thank you all so much! It is just a top, when it comes down to it... but it's so special to me, as it makes me feel attractive, which rarely, rarely, happens....and it's one of the *very* few things that truly make me happy when I put it on. I should get it back this Thursday and my fingers (and B's paws) are tightly crossed for a great outcome! Thanks again

I hope it turns out okay BM! I suspect your dry cleaners will wet clean it to get the water marks out. They probably just didn't want to get your hopes up. I know that sick feeling, but please don't beat yourself up about it.

Ooohhh, I feel your pain! I once *had* a beautiful green silk skirt that I spilled ketchup on. When I tried to spot clean it, I was successful in getting the spot out but along with it came some green! Sending good thoughts your way.
