I wanna know what to wear to my bffs dads funeral. I can't wear a dress or skirt because it's during school. I'm gonna wear black dress pants and which shirt should I wear with it?

I think #2. It has the least amount of "happy pattern".

Oh, that is terrible! I think these are all nice options. Personally, I prefer #3 because it is woven (as is #1, but I think floral for a serious occasion might not be quite right). I do see claire's point about pattern, though. I think it's what you feel comfortable with. I do not think that any of these three is terribly INappropriate.

I like the first top. I think that would be the most appropriate with dress pants for a funeral. I am sorry for your friends loss.

Sorry for your friend's loss. I like #1 as well.

I don't know how it is in your area but I've found black isn't necessary for funerals these days. (I had to attend funerals when I owned pretty much no black and it turned out it wasn't a problem).

Dressing respectfully and soberly can be accomplished even wearing patterns or colours.

The important thing is being there and remaining present and supportive. Your friend will really appreciate and remember that, much more than your outfit, even if she doesn't show it at the time.

I think I prefer #2 best. I do agree with the above comments on black and pattern though. I prefer to wear a dark colour the is very simple(with out embellishment ). Just by being there for your friend you will be a good support for her.

I would wear either #1 or #2. As a musician I have played for many memorial services and funerals and the main idea nowadays is to wear something that will NOT attract attention. So you will probably see people wearing dark colors, solid colors, muted patterns.

I am sorry for the loss of a father and I do applaud you for attending the service, as many people get freaked out by death and do not give their friends the kind of support they need at this challenging time. You are a good friend indeed.

I prefer #1.. as it is a more sophisticated, smart looking blouse than 2 or 3. 2 and 3 look like something you'd wear to just kick around.
While it is a floral pattern, they aren't bright and large florals. I have no problem with wearing this type of floral to a funeral... I figure the church/chapel is usually filled with flowers anyway.

I prefer #1.
Enough black to be respectful, very pretty print and looks put together. The fabric looks soft enough to to be a very comfortable shoulder to cry on. What a lovely friend you are.
